I had an idea and whipped this up in Photoshop at lunch. At the very least it made me laugh!

I went kayaking today because it was so beautiful out. I ended up going for about 5 miles, which I thought was pretty good. Although i looked up my record, and that was about 9.5 miles. I guess I’m out of shape! I passed by something interesting while out there. Take a look at the highlighted building:

Just a regular waterfront building right? Wrong! It’s actually a fully functional boat! The city would not allow a building there, but the Lake Union Crew needed a headquarters, so to get around the law the lady that founded it decided to make it a boat. The city can’t stop you from docking a boat on the shore! I guess they have to drive it out and around the lake once a year to prove to the authorities that it’s still a seaworthy boat. Pretty cool! I’d love to be invited on that annual trip. I bet it would be a blast.
