I’m not typically OCD about much, but I’ve always had this obsession with trying to owe exactly $0 to the government at the end of the tax year. Meaning I don’t want them to send me a check and I don’t want to have to send one in, I want it to hit exactly $0. This year I got pretty close, probably as close as I’m going to get: The government owed me $82. Usually either I owe them hundreds or they owe me hundreds. So in my obsessive push to be perfectly organized (I get it from my mom), I’m pretty darn happy with this year’s result!
People always ask each other how they’ll spend their refund checks. I’m….gonna go grocery shopping!
