Check out http://fantasticcontraption.com. It is a very addicting physics based game where you create little machines to accomplish a task. Oddly it makes me yearn to play Spore. After all, you do get to revel in your creation coming to life. Here are some of my creations:

This weekend we went to a city called Pacific Beach. It was my very first trip to the open ocean shores of Washington state. It was such an open ocean in fact, there were signs showing you the tsunami evacuation route.
It was a lot of fun! We had a beach campfire, did some geocaching, flew some kites, played in the freezing ocean, and even made a sand castle. See some pics below:
Here is the rustic hotel we stayed at. We rented out the entire little A-frame cottage on the far right.

The shark kite I bought left an awesome shadow on the water:

I was shopping for a good gourmet kitchen knife set online. On Amazon.com, when you add something to your cart, it always suggests other products based on what other people were shopping for when they bought the same product. Take a look below and see what it recommended. Kitchen knives mixed with a DVD of the TV show Dexter. In case you don’t know, Dexter is about a serial killer. Personally I want to know who’s buying kitchen knives at the same time they order serial killer DVDs? Actually I take that back, I definitely don’t want to know that person.

I read on the news that Grissom is leaving CSI. Specifically that actor is leaving the show. He’s the main character, so I figured the show will die without him. But then yesterday, they announced his successor: Laurence Fishburne! CSI just gave itself a mighty upgrade.
I just returned from a week in Michigan. I visited my family and we had a great time. It also turns out that I just missed a big heat wave in Seattle, so that was a nice bonus (considering the fact that I don’t have air conditioning)
A few interesting tidbits:
I saw an airport TSA agent hug a woman that was crying about leaving someone or losing someone. It helped break my stereotype about TSA agents being mostly horrible people.
I went on the (second) tallest (second) fastest roller coaster in the world in Cedar Point in Ohio. It’s called the Top Thrill Dragster. The “hill” is completely vertical and it hits 120mph. It’s taller than any building in that entire state. Here’s a picture to help foster your terror:

Today I went to an amusement park called Silverwood in Idaho. It was a lot of fun. Definitely a lot of driving though. While there we saw a magic show that was way too good for the venue (inside a pizza place). I was expecting to know how all the tricks were done, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tricks. I especially can’t figure out how the floating table trick worked.
I also went on a roller coaster that is my new favorite. It’s called Aftershock. It’s one of those ones where you hang from below After you are loaded in, you are pulled backward up a completely vertical tower so you are facing directly to the ground. Then it lets you go and you are propelled right through the loading area and around twists and turns and then up a second tower of equal height. You’re then pulled up that tower too, and it lets you go, this time to go through the entire course again, but this time backwards! It was freaking crazy, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

One other note: Thank goodness for SPF 30.
